I have been looking into this densifier/sealer combo from Concrete Sealers USA, the product is called PS103. Was curious if any members had any experience with this product? Not too many reviews, however their PS101 gets high marks but seems to have siliconate in it vs being a lithium silicate. Also, this products description says that it can be burnished/polished for a slight sheen. Maybe Shea can tell me the difference between their different penetrating sealers. Thanks

Do you mean Concrete Sealers USA? They are the only ones I know of with those part numbers.

If so, PS101 is a siliconate sealer only. It is not a densifier, though technically it does harden the surface ever so slightly. It will protect the concrete surface from moisture the best since it has a much higher concentration of siliconate than the PS103. It will also provide more stain resistance as well. It does this by providing a barrier right at the sub-surface of the concrete.

PS103 is a densifier first with siliconate added. It penetrates much deeper than the PS101 in order to harden the substrate. If your main concern is to harden the surface and have the ability to repel moisture, then it's a good product combo.

I recommend calling Concrete Sealers USA and ask for Mike. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding sealers of this type and can qualify you based on your needs. He will be up front with you and tell you whether their product will serve your exact needs or not.

Would you consider doing PS103 and then following it up with a PS101?

Thanks Shea for the quick response!! And yes, it is Concrete Sealers USA.

I guess I liked the idea of burnishing afterwards for the slight sheen that is offered in the PS103. Why would they recommend a burnishing for the PS103 and not the PS101? I have a clean slab for my shop and was leaning towards one of these products, I also perused your website (great info btw) in order to help make my decision.

Thank you sir. Densifiers are used for concrete polishing. That is why the PS103 can be burnished.

Burnishing fuses this product to the floor. Without it you could see a peeling effect or rapid breakdown over time. The side benefit is the sheen. Here is the entire process using our HD40 Concrete Stainguard:

Today I ordered PS101 (Siliconate penetrating sealer) to apply to my new slab. Would this product allow me to apply a coating over the top (acrylic) in the future?
