I was all set to purchase the maxlite fixtures and diva bulbs from Beeslighting. I was sharing with one of our site electricians and he is really pushing me to use these Lithonia LED Strips Integrated

His reasoning was:
1. 5 year warranty
2. the ends on fixtures like the maxlite get hot and burn out

What do you guys think?

Lithonia MNSL L48 2LL: 4500 Lumens @ 50W = 90 L/W
Qty.2 GLLUSA lamps = 5328 Lumens @ 36W = 148 L/W

Both have 5 year warranty. Which one do you think is more likely to burn out from too much heat?
(this is a rhetorical question as the answer should be obvious)

The Diva Light bulb may be more prone to heat buildup as it does not have an aluminum body like all the bulbs recommended in post #1 of the best light fixture sticky. Though it still has a 5 year warranty and better efficiency (117 L/W) than the Lithonia fixture.

If you're going to spend $31+ per fixture (assuming you're getting 10+), then why not get the Maxlite housing $13.95 and 2 GLLUSA bulbs $16.72 = $30.67.

With all due respect, electricians are not any more qualified to make lighting choices than plumbers are. They know how to install the hell out of them, though.
