HD has Little Giant 8ft step ladders for 99.00. Good deal or not?

Little Giant or Werner?? Good ladders but they are very heavy. Also check the width of the steps, I heard that the new models have wider steps than the old models.

I picked up a 17' werner from lowes for $150 earlier this summer. They are heavy ladders, but I would buy it again. It takes up a lot less space in my garage, and its the only ladder I need.

The 8' ladder will be small in comparison, but if it fits your needs go for it. Though I would recommend going bigger if you can.

The Little Giant ladders with red labeling/white lettering on the sides are light duty.

May not be a "deal" if this is what they have.

Had to inject some humor this morning into this post, reminded me of a picture I saw last week.

As for the ladder, if it's Werner I would have no hesitation buying it... never been happier with them.

A little off topic as I have no frame of reference for a "Little Giant" but I purchased a Costco "Worlds Greatest Ladder" 4 years ago and would buy another tomorrow if I had to. Not that I think I will as I used this extensively when building my garage and renos on the house including a new roof. It has never let me donw, is sturdy and feels like the most stable ladder I have ever climbed.

I have loaned it out a few times only to have the borrower come back and tell me they went out and bought one they loved it so much.

They go on cheap at Sams club every once in a while. Well worth the purchase price.

Werner has the 13', 17', 21' and maybe others. I'm not sure what the Little Giant 8' is equivalent to, but both brand look alike.

I bought the 21' Werner version at Lowes for $150 a while back during a special intro price sale. Great ladder and couldn't be happier! Last time I checked, the Little Giant version was $300+ but you usually get some accessories thrown in. Always seemed the Little Giant version was more expensive for the same thing . Do some internet searches - the current prices are readily available.

I thought Lowes had the 13' Werner for $69 intro price at the same time, which was also really tempting.

If I didn't already have an 8' and 3' step ladder, I'd probably buy one.

I have one of the really big telescoping ones from Werner. I like it, but boy is it a pain in the **** to move around, and it's large enough that it's actually not useful for getting into the attic hatch inside the house.

It was invaluable when we took the popcorn ceiling down from above the stairwell before we moved in though.
