I recently bought the Werner MT-22 from Home depot for $150 shipped... it was just easier to have it shipped rather than try and lug it home. Overall is is a great ladder to have and has gotten quite a bit of use. The locking mechanism is identical to the Little Giant ladder and is as easy to operate. The ladder is fairly heavy, but the utility of being able to collapse it and stick it in a corner is worth it. Totally worth it in my opinion.

I have a Werner 22'. I thought it was heavier than the equivalent Little Giant. Anyway, it is heavy and awkward. The rungs are uncomfortable compared to the rungs on a step ladder, because they're more like the rungs on an extension ladder. They're not really designed to be stood on for long times. On the other hand, you can form a multiladder into configurations that aren't possible with a conventional step ladder or an extension ladder, like putting one leg straight up and the other leg at an angle, or one leg shorter than the other. For me that was the important advantage.

If you don't need that advantage, I think you're better off with a step ladder and an extension ladder, unless space or portability is the most important feature. A step ladder is more comfortable to stand on, and an extension ladder is lighter and easier to handle.

I have owned the Little Giant Ladder,22', for years and it is a terrific ladder. Also, you can buy an accessory platform that fits on the ladder steps and is very comfortable.
The one thing that I really like is that it is very sturdy and you can work safely on the ladder.
When originally purchased, I believe that I paid about $450 for the ladder and platform. I've seen the ladder on sale at Sears for about $225.
I would definitely recommend this ladder.

I have a 22' "Guerrilla" Ladder from Home Depot (Little Giant Knock-off).
300 lb capacity (important for me, as I weigh in the 270's)

At the fully extended A-Frame (11' or so feet), I feel safe.
At the fully extended length, I feel safe.
At the fully extended 90° ladder, I feel safe.

I have the Werner, and have gotten a lot of use out of it. Seems solid and well built.

Where is the Werner made? All the Little Giant knock offs I have seen were made in China. That's why even my lowbuck self bought a Little Giant. I got the 17', but sometimes I wish it were taller.

I'v had my Little Giant for almost 30 years. At the time I bought it, there was nothing else like it. I've casually looked at the Werner, and it looks like a viable alternative.

My werner MT-22 is made in China.
It's been great, very stable, but heavy.

I don't think you will find many people that have both for direct comparison.
I don't see any reason not to go with the Werner

I have the werner version. Great purchase, but like others have said, it's heavy. I have a cheap 6' step ladder for light stuff and i have a 24' fiberglass for getting on the roof.

The 22' doesn't quite have the hight for my roof..at least safely, plus it bends more than the fiberglass one i have. But i am also 240lbs.

My brother, b-i-l and father, all have the 17' Little Giant. They started appearing here at more shows some time back. They never had the size I needed (will ship bs), and were a LOT more expensive, then I could get the same size Werner for. I went out and priced around a few years ago (before all the Lowe's deals), and found the 26' Werner, for $189 delivered. (seller on Ebay)

Well, I am getting ready to paint my house, and I prefer some of the Little Giant accessories and have bought them. (platform, leg leveler, got a good deal on a demo work plank) A friend borrowed it recently, as he was getting his house (new wifes house) ready to sell. Three days later the house was sold and their new place, both needed work. (she works at a bank and found one of their foreclosed properties they both loved) I got lucky, and found another MT-26 at one of my junk stores, for $135 before tax. I've already have people who want to buy it, but for now, I have two taller ladders to put the walk board between (cheaper then renting scaffolding).

The Werner and and the Little Giant are a bit heavy, but considering what they are they're not too bad. Mine is easier to move around than my 8' step ladder, and certainly easier than a 22' ladder.

Little Giant laddera are an 1/8" narrower than many others; other brands' scaffold pieces won't fit and Little Giant charges more. They are solid though.

I have the werner. It is good as long as you do not have it straight to the full extension. Then it gets a little bouncy. I like and use a regular extension ladder when I am in that range though.

One warning, watch where your fingers are when you retract segments. I have smashed my hand with it once.

Buy the Little Giant Revolution XE. It has welded rungs, is 8lbs lighter (20%), has a lifetime warranty, 4-pin lock mechanism. Werner is heavy, riveted rungs, 2-pin lock and no written warranty. Little Giant Ladder is made in the USA - Werner is not.

I clean windows professionally and have used all these diff art ladders at one time or another. I think you will be happy with any of them as long as you get one thats tall enough. If halling it around in a small vehicle is not an issue, get the biggest one you can afford/carry. If memory serves, the gorilla from hd has a nice feature the werner does not, the sides of the ladder are smooth so you can slide it up or down and the locking pins will pop themselves into place. The werner you must very deliberately put the locking pins into place.
