I'm just about ready to put in my lower garage cabinets.

now on the right is where my car goes. right now it's a volt so there is PLENTY of room..

BUT in a few years

is what i'd like to put in there

which is about 19 feet long

so seeing i have 24feet of depth should I go with normal base cabinets at 2 feet or should i be looking at the apartment sized ones at 1 foot in depth???

other then wishing the past owners made this bigger what do you think?

Little questions for you.....
1. Going to park another vehicle is garage? If so, what is it?
2. Are you talking about cabinets on the back wall or the right wall?
3. What is width of garage?

the other bay is the wife's traverse

the cabinets will be on the back wall basically mirroring what is on the top

the width is 24 so it's a 24 by 24 garage

I'd go ahead with at least a 24" bench. If, maybe, someday, you end up with the truck, you'll still have plenty of room. Even if you were to go up to 30", you'd have 2 1/2 feet to move around the front end of the truck.

Not worried about that.... I've got a hydrant and 100 feet of 2 1/2 if i need to get a fire out... ;)

and right now there have been more gas fires in cars then battery fires in a volt
