Just finished installing this today the top is cherry, milled and dried last year the cabinet is basswood stained.

Nice work on this. The cherry will darken a lot over the next 5 years and look really nice. Keep what ever finish you applied on strong so water doesn't get through. Excellent craftsmanship.
