At my old house, the garage door was about 5'6" high - perfect for model T's but not great for a Jeep Wrangler.

We were able to reframe the opening to a 7' door and used the 3800 for the same reasons you may be looking at it.

Loved it so much that I am using a couple of them on our new build as well.

I have two of them mounted on the overheads in my pole barn on 12" radius. They work fine.

They just pull straight up from the bottom panel, so the radius shouldn't matter as far as I know. I would say as long as the tension is set proper for the door, and the rollers don't bind in the track, you should have no problems

For whatever reason, they do reccomend having a 15" radius bend in the instruction manual but I've seen several guys on here with 12" that seem to be just fine.

I ordered my doors with 15" bends just for this reason. Gonna get them installed hopefully soon. . .

I've installed a few LM3800's and I don't recall 15" radius bends being recommended in the instructions. All the doors I've done have 12".

Keeps a little more weight on the cables... I've used them on double track rear mounts - if the doors setup right, they'll run (before the door guys ask - you can PM me, yes you can reverse the rotation) and 32" radius... The opener doesn't know the difference...

Although the 3 section 7' high doors in 10" radius, with a 3800 is definitely not recommended...
