Go to Sears and compare them if there is some loose stock made in USA stuff. It will become obvious unless you have a vision impairment or have some sort of GJ denial affliction.

Just a FYI denial isn't that river in Egypt.

I'm almost tempted to find my camera and take some pics of the larger crossforce wrenches I have (1 1/8 inch). It becomes very obvious as to what the original poster is trying to convey.

the wrenches in the OPs first couple pictures do not appear identical. with better pics, they obviously are.

i understand what the OP is trying to convey, that his industrial ratcheting wrenches have a larger open end than most USA stuff. as for them being lobster claw, they are obviously larger than most of the USA styles, but they are not as big or disproportionate as the Cman polish or RP wrenches. i just bought and swapped some of the china polish wrenches a few days ago.

im assuming you disagree with my opinion?

Interesting, I use my Cman Flex Head everyday especially the 3/4 and 5/16. I have put it through its paces when I originally bought them for $60 on clearance. Now after following this thread for a while I understand, I think.
Some wrenches are chunkier and a bit wider than some of us like.

As a collector of antique wrenches I spot brands and types by form, sometimes yards away. I look for 'wide hipped' open ends and rust or black paint rather than chrome. Those are qualities of my target buys.

A weekend warrior or professional user rather than a collector seems to want the smallest profile possible on a nicely chromed combo wrench mostly now. A trap lies within. Thinner profiles have to be much better steel or you will have a wrench that tends to 'spring' open in a pull or if too hard and brittle would go until one side breaks off. I've seen both personally and prefer the spring effect, at least the knuckles bleed less.

Oddly my few 'lobster claw' Asain fillers and a lot of my oversized oldies have stood the test of time and use where more modern and slimmer wrenches I have show bad habits under higher than normal stress. Even good brand names.

I admit the oldies are thicker and chunkier, and that will cause problems in tight spaces sometimes but normally they are just fine and up to most any task.

Those GW open ends look like the perfect medium. There had to be a lot of R+D behind the choice to make them exactly that size and shape.

I've got quite a bit of the Craftsman Industrial wrenches, ratcheting and flex ratcheting like pictured above and don't have the Lobster claw.

What I do find interesting is that I have the same exact flex ratcheting 3/4 wrench as show in the 1st post but mine is stamped KZ and not KAA.
