I stopped at HF on my way home from work today and saw that they had the 56" 11 drawer box in stock. I'm not a fan of their 13 drawer box like some others here, but I do have to say that this 11 drawer box is pretty darn good looking box that also appears to be well made. $799 is a bit pricey for me.

Looks pretty nice. I really wish the drawer layout was a bit different. Did you test its sturdiness?

My local HF had the new 56" box as well. To me, it doesn't look as heavy built as the 13 drawer box. Anybody else notice this or is it just me?

Looks like a decent box but for the money but I would rather get 2 of the 13 drawer boxes and put a top on them and call it a day. JMHO

I wasn't to impressed with the overall sturdiness of the box. I opened the top drawer and put some weight on it. Felt a bit flimsy.

The smaller one is still the bargain buy.

IIRC, I noticed the top drawer in the 13 drawer has a reenforcement bar underneath. Not so on the big 56"er. Dunno why the smaller box has one that the bigger one doesn't. Big box does have some neat locking mechanism on each of the drawers. Dunno how well the locks would hold up over the years.

This weeks mailer has it for $350. Our store had the matching top box the last time I was in there. It looked nice enough for me, but I felt the drawers were still short like the red Costco box.

$359 dont seem bad for that box.

If you want a big deep box and have just under $4K, go to Greg Smith and get one of these:

I saw one of these in person, and the box was so big that it needs its own Zip code.

HF only carrys the bottom box for just under $2K.

I have the bottom box from HF - 67428 - and it rocks. The 56" box looks very similar.

Just got my new catalog in the mail and they have the 56" box for $699 and the 72" for $1599. This isn't a coupon so you'd be able to use a 20% off coupon and get the 56" box for $560 and the 72" for $1280.

I have a MAC/SO box in red. I would like to go to Blue as it's my fav coulor! But looking at a 80's Cornwell Elite to assist in the congestion.

Thx, JASTECH

Saw it at Pasadena California and I agree with the above, the smaller 13-drawer seems better made. Also, the side latches on the 56" would drive me nuts.
