I am in search of a set of "B type" wire crimpers for a project, I'd like to pick it up locally if possible. I've looked on the websites of Lowes, Radioshack, etc and haven't had any luck tracking it down...any suggestions?

Most ratcheting crimpers have this die as an option. I believe Greenlee and others have them. I'd imagine the major electronic/electrical suppliers can get them for you.

Try www.waytekwire.com first.

Good stuff at waytekwire, watch out for handling charges below $35, and high shipping charges regardless.

this is for crimping open barrel connectors, like for D-sub? ideal makes a fixed tool, 30-426, or you can get a die for the crimpmaster, 30-586 or 30-599, depending on what kind of wire you're working with.
