Well I see the peanut gallery has arrived...
It's amazing how **** hurt a few people got from my simply asking that the "silly" talk about dousing be left out of the conversation. No, really **** hurt, like I attacked them personally and they felt the need to defend themselves. It's a common thing these days where people don't like their "beliefs" questioned by anyone, even indirectly. Sad really.
I have always thought, and still think, that these forums were full of highly skilled people, with some real technical savvy, but unfortunately, like in all things, we must take the good with the bad.
To be clear, once again, I did not come out of the wood work and attack anyone, only said, and will continue to say, dousing was silly. I said, I don't want to even waste time on the subject and yet people thought "Hey, F that guy, I'll spin a yarn he doesn't give a rats A about because dang gummit, I'm important!". Then of course, when I said again, I am not interested, BUT THANKS ANYWAY.... out came the **** slinging.... reminds me of those little face mask wearing punks protesting...
To all of the people that actually tried to help in a way that was actually productive, I thank you. Especially the guy who suggested GoogleEarth, I'd forgotten about that feature and it worked great. I know exactly where things are now. No magic pixie dust involved.
Could I have kept digging and found it? Of course, I was asking for a non intrusive method and I got a few. So, this forum once again, was productive and useful, so that's great.
Now I have to go have my new foil hat fitted and cut down a 400 year old oak tree to carve dousing rods and some toothpicks out of..... Oh, and trap some pixies.... Still have to find my washing machine after all....
Thanks all.
