Let me see if I understand this. You're using copper wire to locate PVC pipe through magnetism?
I think you'd have better luck just hiring a witch doctor to tell you where the pipe is. He can tell you where it is by looking under the flat earth.
No, you don't have to use copper wires. I use a metal coat hanger. I'm not an expert, and I had the same doubts many here do. I tried it around my place having no actual idea where things were. I marked them and it seems like that would make sense after locating the septic.
The magnetisim I'm talking about is from a break in the earth, not from the PVC pipe. Does it make sense? Not really, but neither does God and many believe that.
I don't understand why someone wouldn't at least try dousing (first) along with whatever other method they use and see if it worked.
