locating Pex in slab

Hello all
I want to install a 2 post lift in my shop and I have radiant in the floor
I let the floor cool to 50 degrees and fired the heat and went aroud with a
lazer infra red thermometer and was able to locate the pex in one area where the lift foot print will be But the other area all comes the same temp not even a .1 degree variance ANY ideas about locating these lines

You are doing it the way I've read online at another site, you sweep the infra red thermometer across the floor the highest temp should be the tube. Glad I'm not the one doing the drilling though, it would **** big time to hit a tube.

I plan to pour a slap with radiant in it this spring, I'm going to route the tubes around an area where a future lift will reside. Plan to take pictures with tape measures so I don't forget

There are a couple of ways to do it.

Old school way is too crank the t-stat up and then mop the floor. The floor will dry over the radiant tubing first and the pattern will magically appear before your eyes.

New school way is to bring in a sub with an infra-red camera. You'll be able to see the pattern on the video monitor.

Any energy auditor should have one , thats a great idea
