Lock application?

Picked up a handfull of these locks for $1.00 at a contractors going out of business sale. Thought maybe I could use them for a cabinet or something but instead of a latch lever, it's a push in tubular design. Can somebody tell me what the application for this type of lock would be?

the locks are used on sliding doors on cabinets. mount on front door, hole in the inside door for the bolt when pushed in. Mike
