Came into a Mahindra 1626 with a grapple, bucket, brush hog and finish mower. First time owning a tractor/implements. Picking up a M12 grease gun today but wanting opinions on which Lock N Lube to get.......short or extended. Any positive input is certainly appreciated.

I'd suggest that you try the coupler that comes with the gun. I've had a m12 for a few years and it works good with the standard coupler on all the equipment I have.

I have a lock and lube. Id say skip it and get a Univer-co grease coupler . The LnL does lock on good and is leak free, but its freaking huge! It becomes too awkward in many situations. Not to mention there are lots of zerks it cant even get into because of its diameter. LnL has a lot of hype behind the name, thats about it.

The Univerco locks on 95% as good as the LNL. Is basically leak free. And its no larger than a standard coupling. Ive had one for years. Mines one of the OG black oxide ones from when they first launched. None of this fancy chrome stuff

I'm a week and a half into using the new Lube Shuttle with the short LocknLube coupler. It is longer than a standard fitting going on a zerk. I have run into a couple zerks where the short LnL was a bit long (but I was able to grease) and the standard coupler would fit better. In general, me being one handed, the locking coupler functions best on the flex hose.

I have both. The long one I keep on my electric grease gun and is used the most. It's handy for greasing u-joints. The short one I keep on a piston grip grease gun. It'll reach in tighter places than the long one. Sometimes both are too bulky so I have a third gun with a factory end. The factory coupler ***** but it'll reach into a tight spot and gets used the least.
