Lock out/Tag out question

I am looking for a lock to fit a 1990 era Cutler Hammer box. Purchased a Master Lock brand 491B but it is to large to secure to the tabs of the breakers in this box. Can anyone help me out please?

I might be misunderstanding. Usually a "lock out / tag out" is a securing device that prevents the handle and cover from being shut and re-energized while maintenance is performed.
I think it is against code to lock a load center to prevent access.

Here is the box, I want to be able to isolate a circuit if service is needed, lets say garage door openers while leaving the rests of things live.

A breaker lockout is a accessory availible from Eaton for type CH breakers. They mount to the breaker then the trim is reinstalled.

Yeah, I hate it when the wife and kids mess with the breakers while I am doing electrical work....

Just get a cheap hasp from the hardware store and if concerned, rivet it to the cover. Now you can lock out the entire panel.

If you goto Grainger you can look at "circuit breaker lockout" and be bewildered with 37 different categories of same.

I personally like this style the best. Made by BRADY
Minimum space is 1" between breakers.
The other piece with the tab is for breakers that have the space for the tab. But works good without it as well.

I use the 493b at work. I like it a lot better than the Brady products which seem flimsy in comparison.
