Locksmith has a master key. You probly don't want to ruin that box. I assume you have a recessed lock. Otherwise a large bolt cutter!

Take a 1/4" drill bit and drill up into the key slot to the depth of an inserted key. Then insert a screwdriver, turn and open.

Depending on how old the Master Lock is, you can most likely grab a few different master lock keys and one will open it. Masterlock use to only have like 5 different keys for years not sure if they ever changed it but I would assume they did.

Drill out the lock where the key goes in. We showed up for work one morning and there was a bunch of gang boxes open. Thieves came in at night and used a 3/8" or 1/2" drill bit and drilled the locks out and emptied the gang boxes. We tried this just to see how easy it was and it took about 1 minute with an 18 volt cordless drill and a good drill bit. No damage to the gang box. Once the lock pops you can opent he box and change the lock out.

Is this the old style master that uses keys with very angular square notches and a sort of W-like key and slot cross section??
If so life is good. You need only a key of same manufacture and size...I think there were only 2 sizes. You can buy a new lock of same key type as a source...
Take a pair of pliers and break off all the protruding square tabs EXCEPT the very end ones, inset in lock while keeping key straight and centered, turn and click!

If the lock has a number on it, take that to the lock smith and have a key made. Best to have a key that fits the keyhole, if not the lock, so they can match the blank.

About a ten minute youtube video on lock picking and some homemade picks (I made mine out of left over hight tensile fencing) and you will be in in no time. Kinda scary if you think about it.
