I use the Snap-on ones with no complaints. Work good. I mainly use them for spark plugs, and times when dropping a socket isn't a option.

I've used the Blue Point ones as well. They work good too.

I just picked up the HF ones. For the price, it is worth a try... First impressions are a sturdy, yet simple design. And if you need more clearance the release ring comes off with one allen screw. I haven't gotten to play with them much, but a buddy says they work good as long as you keep them off a impact...

Just last week I picked up a brand new Proto locking extension kit from grainger. I also have a few Kobalt and Craftsman locking extension. The Craftsman are very handy for really confined tight places. I like them all!!! No more lost sockets under the dammed intake manifold or behind the starter motor!!!!

Snap on has locking universals

The CMan are labeled as quick release for some reason. I thought they were locking, not really. Was fun fishing the spark plug socket out deep down in a head. Those won't be getting used much anymore. Will try out the Proto for the same task soon. And probably get some more.

My Armstrong ones look like that, and they lock. You can push sockets on, but can't pull them off. I like them.
