For those of you with multiple vehicles in your garage, does anyone have a locking key cabinet located in the garage for all of the respective ignition keys? If so, any suggestions for good brands?

something like this:

It is just something I having been thinking about. It seems a lot more handy then carrying three or four sets of keys out to the garage with me everytime, or worse yet, not having a key I may need. But, it is a lot more secure than leaving keys in the cars.

Thanks for any insights!

After having "Two" teenage sons I learned to never leave keys to any vehicle anyplace they might know where they are. If you do not have children, your good to go.

The one we have isn't that nice. it's just a key lock version. It works but to be honest, I believe you could pick the lock open or probably pry the the thing open with a screwdriver. It beats our old way of dozens of keys in a bowl. I didn't put it in the garage though, the one out there is for the toolbox keys and some chain locks on the ladders. Ours became necessary with 6 vehicles, two 4 wheelers, a zero turn, and a tractor. I won't mention the various fireproof safes and other lock boxes. The one we have supposedly holds 20 something sets but if you have the newer vehicle remotes that go with the keys, they take up more space than you'd think. Ours came from Office Depot I think. I kinda notice a wall safe at Harbor Freight yesterday and thought about getting it for this purpose. It was design to be hid behind a picture and only 4'' deep. Not sure how ''safe'' it really was though.

I have one for all my keys. Placed in a clothing closet so it is not real close to the vehicles. I bolted it to a stud with some 3" screws so it couldn't be pried of the wall easily. The box I bought is the GE accespoint key cabinet, liked it so much bought the same one for my folks to use as well.

That's funny, when I was a youngin' they made a point of putting the keys where I could find 'em if needed.
