Guys,
I notice that Sears doesn't list a set of replacement locks for thier 26" chests and roll-aways anymore. I'd like to have mine keyed alike. Any idea where to buy?
Thanks, Scheu

Im surprised, they used too. Anyway, go to a locksmith. They should be able to hook you up with the lock itself keyed alike, and you can just unbolt the latch from your current locks and mount them to the new ones. It is just a square fit and a screw that holds them in place

Figured as much. Sometimes it's nice to just have the UPS guy bring it to you, you know? Anyway, thanks.

I was at Sears Today, They still have the locks, (1 key 3 tumblers).
I have the same issue but, I think three keys make me look important.

It was a beautiful morning so I decided to start early and walk the one mile to work. When I got there I had forgotten my tool cabinet keys. Didn't need keys for the car so none on me, ya know? And there were about three big projects carried over so I had to rustle up some bolt cutters -- hmm, I know I saw some somewhere a couple of weeks ago.... Now I use only combination locks.

Subscribed, last time I checked you could get three locks alike but no more. Well my local stores don't stock them and I called CS and you can't request lock numbers. So I have two keys for four boxes. D'oh! Would love to put all my stuff on one key.

They're still in store seen them a few weeks ago. Close to the air tools. Up on the wall. Don't ask for help, they won't know what you're looking for. And the iPhone will just crash anyways.

Ive re-keyed a few cman boxes. they use the same 4 pins on all the locks I've done. Just open the lock and swap around the pins to get the right combo. That may have changed with time but its a very easy job.

Give it a shot, if you are contemplating replacement for a matching set, you have nothing to lose if it doesnt work.

I've rekeyed six boxes and a pry bar holder all to the same key. Just take the locks apart. The pins are numbered. Just put them in the order you want.

On a similar note, what are your options if you don't have a key for a box?

First see if there is a code stamped on the lock. A key can most likely be made by code. Otherwise, remove the lock, take it to a locksmith and have them fit a key or rekey the lock with a new set of keys. Or buy a replacement lock.
