I just assembled this gearbox. How long do I need to wait before i can put it to use?

Most sealants would like to have 24 hrs for full cure. If this is a silicone an hour or so before dumping oil in would probably work.

Depending on the thickness and what service its going in. That gearbox runs cool and is vented, as long as it can skin up some where oil wont penetrate it will be fine especially where its squeezed very thin between cases. My master does it all the time and we don't have leaks. Where temps are extreme or its thicker such as beads it needs much longer cures especially if it is used as an adhesive and needs mechanical strength.
Personally would finish assembling and have lunch if I could, fill the thing and run it like you stole it. Humidity helps speed cure.
