Has anyone tried the Loctite freeze an release spray? Does it work as well as the ads say? As quick? this would be a God send in the rust belt. I'm thinking on salt spreaders and snow plows that always seem to break when we need them the most.

I have used it, wasn't overly impressed. Probably worked as good as PB Blaster, but was a little more expensive.

Tried it, not impressed.

It does smell nice when you have to get out the torch and heat up the thing that didn't come apart after you hosed it down though.

I've had fantastic results with it, but I heat the part I'm trying to take off first. Not red hot or anything, just hot to the touch.

I used it to remove rusted bolts on my fuel tank straps. Could not budge them with a 1/2" drive flex head ratchet. Sprayed liberally with the loctite freeze and release and it loosened up considerably.

Haven't tried it, but have used CRC Freezoff and Wurth Rostof, same basic idea AFAIK, sometimes it works, depends on the nature of the stuck bit.

I start with whatever is cheap and handy (except WD40) Kroil, PB, etc let it soak, give a try, maybe try something else or just wait.

Starting out with it hot sounds like a plus.

Years ago my 04 RAV4 had rear brake pads held in by pins. Dealing with 5 years of New York State rust. After trying to get them out , with no luck ,soaked in PB Blaster overnight. Next day no luck.

Had a can of CRC Freezoff sitting on shelf that I never used. Spray it on but you have to spray long enough for metal to contract and it did. Got the two pins of each side out. It took a half can of CRC Freezoff but it was worth it.:rocker:

Hmmm I haven't used it but This thread got me thinking, I have some really stuck bolts that I can't get the impact on, the heads are degraded as well.

I also have a co2 syphon tank left over from the paintball days that I am planning on returning to the dealer (Owned tank) for a argon tank. what do you guys think of using the co2 to freeze the bolts to loosen them?
