Really neat bar top you got there. Tell us about the design.

No design or plans. I just kept putting stuff together. Counter-top is butcher-block from IKEA. Cabinets are from HD. Shower surround is corrugated metal sheeting. Flooring is the .99c stuff from the local Floor Depot.

Edit: I guess you're referring to the bar-top itself. I ripped down a larger piece of 6' butcher block to about 13" wide. IKEA used to sell those stanchions. They're thick-walled stainless tubing cut at an angle with a thru-bolt welded on the bottom-side. Bolt goes thru the counter-top and is secured with a large washer & nut underneath. The bar-top is screwed in to a flange that is welded to the top of the stanchions.

Looks like a great place to have a cigar and kick back. But if you are like me, then no cigars inside the house. I have my weekly cigar inside the shop but it gets cold in the winter. I lost 650 sq ft of man cave to my wife. Its nopw her art studio:headscrat I guess having 4200 sq ft to my self was too much!!!!

What year is the Trans Am?

I could live in a loft like that.

'74 T/A.

I will be living in it when the next hurricane rolls through. Total area for the loft is about 680 s/f, about the size of a typical 1BR apt. Block/filled walls & poured roof. Our electricity comes on before the rest of the area due to buried power lines and we're on the same grid as gov't emergency facilities nearby.

How does the water come out of the shower head, just the ends?

The main jets are located in the center and the arms shoot down water kinda like a watering can (think rainfall). There's also a hand-held wand attached with an on/off valve. I installed it for the ladies (e.g. She: "Ooh...I like that shower!" Me: "Wanna try it?") :)
