Logan 200 Lathe Bearing Cover question/concern?

During the process of removing the spindle I accidently bent the bearing cover that sits inside the housing(shown in the 1st picture below).

Before putting everything back together I wanted to see if there was any issues with this, if it was critical and needs to be replaced or what have you? Its pretty thin and I'm assuming its not that big of a deal but I want to be sure.

I believe that is more a chip guard and not dire to you operation. Straighten it out. Have you found the Logan Yahoo group. Get involved over there and you will find some knowledgable people as well as the guy who now owns the lathe part of Logan manufacturing. http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/lathe-list/
