I just put a deposit on a bigger lathe, so my beloved Logan has to find a new home. It's a model 1955. It's an 11x36 bed. I bought the lathe in San Luis Obispo and transported back to my house in Orange. I have also added quite a bit of tooling for this lathe specifically that will go with it. I had some newer pics, but I just had to drop my phone off for service, so I'm posting some older pics that I have of it. This really is a perfect starter lathe.

I have a 6" 3 jaw, 6" 4 jaw, face plate, steady rest, follow rest, collet closer for 5C collets (I'm keeping the 5C collets), couple jacobs drill chucks, Phase II QCTP, live center, dead center, etc. Probably the only major thing you could track down if you wanted one, would be a taper attachment. It's on it's own cabinet, comes with a VFD and an electrical box (~$150 alone if you were to buy). I can include some cutters, center drills, blanks, parting blades, etc. This lathe is literally turnkey. It sits on 4, 1/2-13 leveling feet from McMaster. It's very clean for it's age, still has original paint. Threads standard threads. Everything works. I have done a lot of work on this lathe and if I had the room to keep it, I would.

You could hook up to 220V single phase and be on your way in less that 15 minutes. I can supply pics and help of how to wire as well as answer any questions. I believe it's a 3/4HP motor. I looked for close to a year before I bought this lathe. You may find some cheaper, but they won't be in as good of condition or have the amount of tooling.

Also, I don't want to hear it about the chuck key. The lathe wasn't even wired in those pictures. If you live locally and don't know anything about lathes, I will give you a demo and show you how to run it. When I purchased this, it was my first piece of equipment and I had never even touched a lathe before, so I know what it's like.
