I'll start by saying that there appears to be no ID plate anywhere on it. Furthermore, I scraped off the crud anywhere that seemed like a good place to put a number or two and have so far found absolutely no markings of any kind... other than the direction reminder on the valve wheel, of course. I even took off my glasses and squinted real hard. Nothing. I'm going to guess that there used to be a cover plate over the pump area which had some useful info but it seems to have been lost to time.
Next, this isn't mine, but belongs to a good friend who grew up using this jack while working on his father's semis. I was over helping him re-bush a flatbed trailer a while ago and we finally decided that this jack was no longer up to the task, forcing us to use a disturbingly small generic floor jack in conjunction with a large bottle jack. I told him I'd see about seals for the big guy and right now that's all he thinks I'm doing. But since it's here and since he doesn't have any more semi trailers to lift for a while I'm going to give it the full treatment. Hopefully parts are available and hopefully it'll make his day when it's done. But first I have to figure out what it is, and that's where one of the resident Jack-of-all-jacks comes in.
I've read a lot of what Hiball has written and he seems to be the guy with the parts, but I haven't been able to match this thing up with any of the (somewhat sparse) catalog pages I've managed to find so far. Knowing my luck it'll be a brand nobody's ever heard of from someplace like Guatemala. If anyone would like some more pics just tell me where to point the camera, and thanks in advance.
