Hello All
I have a new garage (last year) with a raw concrete floor. It has been down now since last December. Nothing done to it to date. The garage is about 740 sq feet. I want to get it finished...somehow.

Can anyone on Long Island recommend a competent, honest quality floor guy who can give me options on what to do with the floor to finish it off and dress it up. I am open to any type of finishing, whether an epoxy, painted possibly even grind and polishing.....whatever. Ceramic tile another option. No Racedeck type overlay. This is a garge where sports cars are stored NOT a working garage. I want a high quality job.

For the life of me I cannot find someone who can come out to my home and give me the above options, ideas and costs.

Anyone local have a recomendation?
Thanks!

Spoke to my friend just now. These are the guys that did his. It was a 3 part process on his 800 sq ft garage. They did a coat of sealer and 2 coats of color. The last coat of color got the chips. His costs were about 3K.

Hope that helps.

If those two don't pan out, PM me and I can give you the number of my friend who is a very competent contractor.

it's getting kinda cold to do an epoxy now. I'm on long island and did it myself in may, you may wanna spend the winter getting estimates and referals then do it in the spring once it's over 60 F.

A smart and competent installer would use polyaspartics or have industrial heaters to stay busy through the winter

BTW, Long Island is huge...what part is your project?

Thanks for the tips guys.
I am in North West Suffolk near the Nassau County border.

Unfortunately for me my floor will need to be prepared a lot more thoroughly than most as my original installation of the concrete floor was substandard. The surface was overworked and resulted in a thin scaling surface that will need to be fixed as well.

I probably would wait till the spring now but would like to have some names that I can call when the ball gets rolling.

got a tile expert around Brooklyn. Artist, but you're looking at like 4K in labor alone.
