Need a set, was looking for the SO hard handle (non-instinct design) set, but cannot find them anymore. I saw one set on eBay, but I am not a tool collector and do not intend to pay a premium on top of SO's normal premium price because the handles are blue.

I cannot seem to find any in the other good brands like Felo or Wiha. So recommendations?

How long handles? What drive? I've got mixed
SK branded Facom (which are really made by that company
that makes the Facom drivers) slotted up wizzah.
All about 13" 175 and up mm. I can
Spare a ph 2 ergotwist as well, same
Length. All softish handle though.
Bought in lots from Ultimate Gay Rage
And Hairy Einstein.

Blue is obsolete and rare. I just sold several new sets if you look at the classifieds. But I was only able to get the red, green and orange

I have a couple of more on the way if you want one

I am looking for something like this: http://www.mactools.com/shoponline/...2-4-pc-comfort-grip-long-screwdriver-set.aspx

Those Masterforces, are they pretty good fit, specifically the Phillips? These are going to be used to take out some screws that are pretty frozen up and cannot be impact driven due to their location (screws for license plate light covers).

I have that set... I rarely use them, but when I do they are awesome. They are very thin to get in tight spots.

I'm with you about not paying a premium for certain color handles. I wouldn't care if my screwdrivers had different colors, would help keep the sizes different. My experience has been that , as others said, you rarely need long shanks but when you do you need them bad. Also, I have become convinced that it pays to have tool truck quality screwdrivers, especially phillips.

I have a SO sddp182 16 inch shank phillips, orange handle, which does not come up on the computer catalog. sdh41200 may be a replacement, catalog claims hard handle instinct grip, so I'm confused about the grease stain issues.

I have a Craftsman 4161 16 inch flat tip which is in the catalog, $13+. I haven't used it enough to put it to the test but they are supposed to be decent.

I've always liked the Mac screwdrivers.

I have the craftsman pros. Don't use them much but when I do they are invaluable. They are not available in sets but not very expensive to buy seperate

Was dark blue a very recent temporary intro? I thought I read that.

Call the local Snap-On truck owner; they're going to have a few things that aren't listed on the website due to color.

I was gonna say, SK isn't bad. I have PB Swiss, Mayhew Catspaw, ratchets and all the extension I want with a bit holder on the end.

Yes Dark blue is this years color...I've bought one of everything blue thus far for my brother, I have not seen any of the long shank drivers yet.

If Mac had that set on their site for 65.00, I would buy it right now. And since all I have for a local franchise is a drunk who can't find his own route, they lost my business.

I actually found an SK set that is very nice and is reasonably priced. 4 long screwdrivers for like 56.00. US made.

If you're talking about the cushion grips, you might be able to get the Craftsman Pro's cheaper. Not necessarily in a set, but as individuals. Same thing as the SK's.

I can get all 4 but the 1/2 x 12 inch, which is one of the two I need, since they are all out of their entire stock of them and will not be stocking anymore.

My area stores still have them in stock and not closed out. Where did you hear they were closing these out? They were actually in the newest catolog iirc.
