Who makes a good quality long T47 impact 1/2 drive torx socket? I see HF has one in their set but I need it to be of the best quality. I tried Snap on today and my guy said they don’t make it. I need it to remove front hub assemblies on full size Ford Transit vans. I could get in there with a standard length 3/8 and extension but would rather have a long reach one.

Most people here seem to find the HF ones pretty damn tough. It's a small investment for 24 bucks for a set

OP, pretty sure those are actually a T50.

If you dont mind hammering chrome, the Snap-on STXL50E fits the bill:

Replacement bits are $10.90 here:

I’m pretty sure it’s a T47. I just did one yesterday and used a standard Snap On
T47. It seemed to fit perfectly. I will double check that though. It was a Transit 150. Maybe the 250 and 350s use a slightly bigger bolt? I could swear that that T47 fit properly.

I’ve been using Harbor Freight impact sockets in the manufacturing of McNeilus Refuse trucks for over a year now! An have not had one break yet! They are well worth their value! I’ve used the T47 on ejector cylinders and haven’t stripped or rounded it out yet!

i don't think that snap on t47 is long enough. you'd end up using a extension on it still. the standard snap on t47 fits with an extension.. good enough. im pretty sure all the 150 - 350 use the same size bolts
