Does anyone know of a source for long tamper proof torx socket drivers? I couldn't find any with a bit of searching. I'd rather not get drivers, but if no one here can point me to any, it looks like I'll have to go that route.

I thought wera or wiha has some long bits that you can use in there bit holder sockets... Let me know if you want me to look them up for you.

My set of these is tamper proof. I bought them specifically when I needed a long shank security torx driver. I think there may be some sets with fewer items also available.

Thanks guys.

48458 -- I could use the bits if I can't find anything else, but I'm looking for socket bits, i.e., something that can go on any of my ratchets, extensions, etc.

JoeB -- thx for pointing those out. Although I'm not normally keen on Craftsman stuff for Torx applications, that set may work well for the limited use these will see.

Still interested in hearing if anyone knows of actual socket drivers!

Also toptul has some as well, the sockets are the BCOA1620-1655 the last two numbers mean the size so they go from t20 to t55 and also t27 as well. Those are 1/2 sockets by the way. They seem really nice and I have a bunch of toptul bit sockets and they are great, my dad uses the set I gave him to strip 60's-70's vintage cars and uses them on rusted door hinges and everything else and they have never broke and look as good as new with no wear on them.

Wouldn't do the Toptuls unless I was backed into a corner. And my immediate need is for a T8, so the Toptuls wouldn't work for me anyways.

Unfortunately, same for the Genius regarding the sizes -- they go down to T10 only. But mepilotunot, thanks for pointing out that they have the long tamper proof socket bits...I'll get those for the future if I don't come up with a better solution for my immediate needs.

Anyone else have ideas? I'd rather not buy drivers if I don't have to.
