Going to paint my floor finally. The epoxy has a pot life of 1/2 hour. Do I need to change rollers every batch also or will one roller do the whole floor without getting hard?

I had to change mine after 45 - 60 minutes (floor temp was 55-58F) or so. Biggest problem was to keep them from dripping/running during mixing for the next batch. I did 865 sq/ft on my own.

One person...3000 sq/ft ......figure 6-8hrs per coat. I did 4 different coats and it was over 4 days to do.

This is for a true 100% epoxy coating system like it sounds like you are asking about.

Follow your manufacture data sheets to know your coverage rates and times.

Got the kit from legacy industrial. From what I see once I start I can't stop till complete. Window with primer then flake time frame. Have a few hours on the clear atleast

Wonder how many stirring shafts I need. Got one for my drill, but wonder how long before it gets to hard to use and leaves dry chunks in bucket

Dave: keep some xylene handy.
Soak it and wipe off after primer is down.

Duct tape your spikes to your shoes, duct tape your roller handle to your paint pole. Crack all the lids. Line everything up so you dont have to think.

OK. Since filler isnt moisture resistant. Used filler for the divots I didn't like. Will it be ok just long enough o clean floor with power washer as long as I don't stay on filler with pressure

If you can get just one helper it will make a big difference. Make sure you break the floor up into small sections and have one person doing the mixing while you do the spreading. This way you will have the next batch ready to put down just as your finish the last batch. If you can, get a bunch of small plastic buckets from Lowes or HD and pre measure all the parts into separate buckets. This will save a lot of time when you are mixing the parts together.

The 30 minute pot life varies greatly depending on temp's and humidity. The primer usually goes on easier then the main coat, just try and get an even coverage without doing a lot of over rolling. When I put my primer down I over rolled too much and had some areas that needed extra attention because of it.

Yes, this isn't mortar or cookie dough, lol.
The mixer we send will last through the primer and even the base coat.

Repairs are best made with epoxy based products.

Cleaning tools, use xylol or xylene.

Go down to HD or Lowes and buy a couple of mixers, they aren't expensive. Also make sure you use very low speed when you mix, the last thing you want to do is create bubbles in the mixture.

I had a mixer for the part A and Part B and then one for the combination. I don't know about the Legacy product but with mine I had to pre mix all the parts before doing the final mix. I kept a bucket of Xylene that I stuck the mixer for the combined parts in for a quick cleaning.

Do I need to make sure the xylene is completely off mixer before making contact with mix. I have a mixer from Lowes. Used filler as recommended by people and web reading. Too many spots for the little cup of epoxy I would buy

I assumed so but wonder if it was like a thinner and just mixed in. Been hand sanding floor last couple weeks to make sure. Filler that is. Feathering and blending

Yes. I know its going to get beat up but would like to start nice. Have over 300 actual hours fixing the pour. Going to make a nice storage shed if it ***** after I'm done. Should only be this picky on my cars but its hard to say oh well good enough on anything.
