Hello all, Long time lurker, first time poster. I joined the forum back when I built my first garage with intentions of sharing the build, but life got busy, the build never got fully finished (wanted to insulate and finish the interior), and then I moved. I have been reading a lot on this forum since then to gain ideas for a future shop. The time has now come to put those ideas into a build, so i figured I should probably introduce myself before I start a build thread. I am plant engineer, mostly working with new equipment design and install. I enjoy hunting, wood working, auto work, and camping. My previous garage build was 26'w x 32'd x 10' interior height, built 100% by myself with the help of family and friends.

I just keep cramming all my stuff in the limited space I have. It must be exciting to get a new crack at it! Keep us posted.

I am excited to be able to build again. I have been craming since moving in 2015. A 2 car garage and 2 garden sheds just aren't enough space to store and work on everything. I had a motorcycle, sold it because I didn't a place to really work on it to get it back into great rideable shape. When I sold it it opened up a lot of space in one of the garden sheds to store the lawn tractor with snowblower attached for the winter. We have a 5th wheel we store outside currently, so the new shed will be large enough to store the camper too. I just bought a tractor this summer, haven't even had it home yet since I don't want to store it outside (bought from the inlaws and they were ok continuing to store it for now). So far this year, I just got the garage cleaned back out enough to be able to park inside again for the winter.

I'm in the Madison region, got a 8,000 square foot lot, so no outbuildings, just the garage and basement for me. Not even an option to own a piece of land with a shed on it outside of town because of the cost of land---would probably have to get at least 2 hours away to afford it. It's nice to be in a place with a stable economy, but it's no way to live

I'm a small town boy, grew up in the same small town I live now, ~ 1hr from every larger town (Appleton, Oshkosh, Wausau, Antigo, Stevens Point) Green Bay is closest at ~40min. Our home is on 5 acres, all woods, it feels secluded, but we walk to the end of the driveway and we are in a nice little neighborhood.
