Lol I got this is the mail, and just noticed that at the head of the ratchet it looks like someone got distracted while grinding it, looks like they we're talking or checking out a hot female and ground it way down and put it in bin with rest and said F it... I'm not mad or complaining just want to show it looks like what happens when someone blows off half their skull with a shot gun.. I might just say screw it and keep it because it was a warranty replacement but idk worried it might weaken integrity.

I got another 1/2 long handle soft grip that was on back order and after 2 weeks I got it and it's dated 2013 and grip is scuffed up and head is scratched up good on one side.. I wonder how I ended up with a 2013,maybe a warrantied one repaired or found somewhere and just been around for awhile and got banged up.. Anyways this is my like with quality control and you know they have been handled many times and people didn't care.. Like I said not mad and don't blame snap on as I know **** happens.
Here's pics of both, sorry kinda hard to see on chrome.

Both are the longest soft handles snap on makes 1 is, 3/8 which is first 4 pics other is 1/2 and last 3 pics if anyone gets confused. I haven't used either as I just got them. It's so weird getting a 2013 ratchet from snap on, like I said it was on back order and even after I got it the tool still said back order so it's a mystery and don't care about scratches and Knicks as I will make it look worst. I paid over 250 for it from the website, Thank God I got a snap on guy now he is way cheaper even at his list price it is not same as website. I don't even try to talk him down on price because he's good to me.

I got a 1/2 in flex head soft grip or "comfort grip" as SO calls it, from SO online and it looked like yours. I flagged down a driver who comes on base where I work and told him about it. He took it in as a warranty trade and told me to pick out a good one.

I got a socket set a few months back one of the sockets had no markings on it. I'm usually not that picky but I hit my dealer for one that was marked

I will probably trade them in for green ones as my dealer don't care I just swapped a black ratcheting screwdriver for a pink one as long as it's new it doesn't matter about color.

The dual 80s are CNC finished now. Probably bad placement on the jig. I've gotten a brand new 1/2 '' comfort grip and there was a big chunk out of the raised portion of the steel, like somebody took a prybar to take the handle off.

It also had a 2013 date code. Must have been a bad year for QC at Snap On.

I've known three different tool truck dealers (2 Snap On & 1 Matco ) that had their own shrink wrap cutters & ovens to recover opened packages when they sometimes pull tools out to warranty or sell individually to mechanics, so it may not of happened at Snap On.

If that ratchet was sent directly from Snap-on, it'll be easy to get replaced. Send them the pictures and they'll send you out a new one. They'll have you keep the old one.
