Look familiar? rack attach system

Trying to make or preferably find a one piece slide for my Roof Top Tent.
I could have a machine shop make one but I'm hoping to find a cheaper route.
Fishing for links, ideas, etc.

As it is now you can see in the picture its a two piece(the slide part) attachment due to the width of my roof rack a one piece would give much more security (if only in my head)

You currently have an existing roof rack and want a rail to attach the tent to?
You are looking for a rail to mount to the roof to attach a roof rack and tent to?

I'm also not sure how the tent attaches to whatever it sits on.

Thanks for the response, no I have the rail (attached to my RTT) and the hardware just like the photo, but it sits to close to the edge of the roof rack.
Instead of modifying the rack I figured a longer, one piece, inner slide nut
(not sure what else to call it?) would give more stability. I feel uncomfortable with it so close to the edge. see pic.

add some cross rails on the inside and go from there. I have a tepui tent on my taco and love it.

Really want to avoid welding on a ladder, that rack isn't coming back off.

ohh, now thats an idea and i better understand what you want now. This would be handy for me also so let me know if that fits lol
to put on my tent it took me at least an hour as i have the bolts very hard to get to, so great for anti theft, but ****** if i want to remove it.
