first time poster here...

I'm not a tech or anything. Just a guy that works on his house and the boat mostly. I don't like most of the craftsman boxes at sears and was looking on my craigslist for used truck-brand gear. Found this one for about $350. I called MAC to make sure the bearings are still available as the models is about 15 years old and the seller states that one of the drawers has a bearing that is failing.

Is this a good deal? I'm assuming the quality will be more than a craftsman or the HF model. Albeit, there are only 8 drawers on this one.

Thoughts?

Which model is it, what are the dimensions and does it match up well with the tools you want to put in it?

Why is the bearing failing, and are you sure its just one?

Thanks for the replies.

Its 34.5" wide and 40" tall. Model MB8200. I haven't talked to the seller yet as to why the bearing is "out". I've never owned a rolling tool chest, so, it'll feel big at first and then small in short order. I don't do much in the way of impact tools. So, general wrench, rachet, screwdrivers and some basic tools is what I have.

I 'd keep my eye out for a top chest down the road.

I have been watching craigs list for a box for a long time now - top boxes are very rare
