My garage is 19'2 by 18'. With the cabinets I have on the side, I effectively have 197"(W) by 232"(L) of space to park my cars. I can park two cars inside without any issues.
I am looking at buying a 4 post lift and I have the ceiling height for it. My only issue is with the width of the lift. I am looking at the BendPak HD9-ST or the Challenger CL4P7. My usage for the lift is for both storage and to work on my cars with the addition of a rolling jack. Due to the narrow width of my garage, I am concerned with the space in between the wall and the side of the lift as well as a car I have might be too wide for it(79" with mirror folded in). Basically, I don't want to position the lift so close to the wall that I am not able to work on that side of the lift but at the same time, I don't want it positioned to close to the center, such that, I can't park another vehicle next to it.
Do you think the lift will work in my application?
