ok , i have been thinking of getting a new matco double or triple bay box .
it may be the new 4 or 5 series all depends on prices/deals/ect
now i have a snapon combo box that i got in 2003, bottom box kra4107bpes
and top box kra4114apes
now of course i ask .....what are my snapon boxes worth on trade?
i know what they cost new , and what i paid for them , but what are they generally worth on trade in ? 50% of retail ? 40% ? 30% ?
i know this a loaded question that has been asked before , but do any dealers want to step up and give me a idea what they might do to sell a new box ?
pm me if you prefer ......
what could i resonably expect on trade-in?
my box is yellow and is dent free , has 1 scratch

Without seeing them, it's hard to say. I will offer this advice. The more expensive the box, the higher the wiggle room.

What do you think your box is worth?

well it cost 3800.00 new , did i pay that much ? no
i would think i would get at least 2000.00 in trade in .....just my thoughts
i really do not need a new box , but the new matco 4-5 series boxes have gotten my interest
hey how was cancun this year , did you go ?

if it was that much new and it was in that good of a shape, maybe you can get 2500 to 3000 in trade in weather you paid that much or not. Depends on your dealer and what box you pick.
I currently own a 4325 4 Series and I really like it, good detents, good paint, love the SS top. I dislike the divider on the big drawer but it has lots of room and it wasnt that expensive, relatively speaking for its size.
And came with a free roll cart.
Good luck, let us know what you get.

2k trade should be no problem. Cancun was great. I have a few pics posted in the Free Parking forums.

Have all the tool guys give you a quote on a similar size box with yours on trade. That will give you an idea of fair market value. Your might also be surprized on who gives you the best deal, I had every dealer who came into my shop trying to get my trade.

Dave you got to go to Cancun too, did you meet or know a dealer named Terry Mark Breeden, from VA? He is my dealer and a really nice one at that.

He threw the SS top at cost when I got the box with the free roll cart, and gave me free upgraded liners. That is a MUST if you get a 4 series box.

I don't know him. There are so many guys there, it's impossible to meet everyone.
