Above 1200 Sq/FT Looking at new tool box

Looking at buying a new tool box and the 96” box from Husky looks promising. Any input about these boxes would be appreciated.

I bought a Husky stack combo a year or so back; very happy with it. Good layout, seems pretty sturdy.

I saw a husky 72" top box do they make a 96"?

I have the 72" matte blue box with the rising table top. I also have the 80" matte blue tool box with the hutch and side locker. I love them both. The 72" has a power strip built into the box. The 80" has one built into the lower box and another built into the hutch. Also came with a light bar.

Before you choose a new tool box, determine what you are using currently, Then using that information, look for an improved toolbox you can afford; progress is made in steps.

An "Old Timer" advised me to buy the biggest tool box with the most drawers you can afford, you will eventually fill it up.

Did you do anything to protect the top finish? I like the rising table top idea but idk if I would hate cranking it up and down after awhile. BF price I saw was $798 for black Husky. 62".

I just used some wax on it. Its a work top so it will get scratched and dinged. Maybe I'll consider getting a rubber mat for one side of it. As for the raising and lowering, I only keep things that I rarely use in that section.

The 72" is at the lowest price I've seen it since I started tracking it back in June. I pulled the trigger in September and 1 week later it dropped another $100. LoL

I had a huskey tool box a few yrs ago. It was in the box when I bought it. I brought it home and it was beat to ****. I had to straighten out the legs. Lots of dents in it. I took a picture of it and sent it to home depot customer service. they sent me a E gift card. Other than it being beat up it wasnt that bad of a tool box. I think it was 10 draws top and bottom. Probably 56" wide. I sold it a few yrs ago to make room in my shop. I think in the next few yrs im gonna got a 72" us general.

I had a husky from 10-12 years ago, used it more than the average homeowner, but not like a professional. I had two drawer slides fail on me. Was laid out pretty well, I upgraded to a series two US General box and it is 10 times the quality. In my opinion. But the best/largest you can afford and will fit in your space.

The series 2 HFs were alot better than these new shiny series 3. They sound like tin cans.
