Checked amazon.de and there are a few but none ship to the usa. Found one “unbranded” set on eBay but prefer a name to go off of. Any recommendations here or should I just go with an impact set and call it done?

Stahlwille 96022702 45TX/7, E5-E14

Koken RS3425/4-2B, E10-E14 + E20 (Frankstools.com)

Koken RS3425/9, E4-E16

Facom JTX series, E8-E16, UltimateGarage.com (there is also JTX.40, which is a set of all sizes with metal rail, but I didn't see it on his website.)

Facom would probably be my pick here, unless the Koken 9 piece set is available for decent cost.

I will check into vim. That set appears to be 1/4” 3/8” and 1/2” drives. Looking for a 3/8” only set seems to limit what I am finding.

Assumed you meant satin chrome finish; didn't think about satin black finish (or whatever it's called). All of the ones I posted were satin chrome.

Lisle, OTC, and SK e-torx sockets have that finish, but I'm not certain if you can get sets that are 3/8 drive only. Or if individual sockets are available for purchase to make a set.

Impact may be the way to go, unless the walls are thicker. I've run into numerous instances where a thick e-torx socket wouldn't be able to access the fastener.

Correct in satin “chrome” finish. The koken looked chrome to me though.

That is my worry with impact set as well. Hate to run into one and not have the right tool.

You're right, I was mistaken. I just walked to my shop. Top half of Koken is polished, bottom isn't but still very bright. The Facom, on the other hand, is very matte with no shine. The Facom are probably what you are looking for, in terms of finish.

Correct I can only find them in a 4 pc set. Looking for something more along the koken size.
I may just go with the impacts over the no brand set on eBay with as much as I have ran across needing them.

You can get the individual Hazet sockets from amazon.de; they do ship to the US.

Hazet 880-E5 through E14.

Or buy this set

https://amzn.to/2XoKkZY

Expensive though.

I have some satin Torx sockets imported under the “ K Tool” brand. Might be worth looking at that brand

I only see black sets from k tool.

Yea they are pricey for as much as I use them.

Hard to find a 3/8” drive only set- lots of these are 1/4” and 3/8”

While browsing Sears website for hot deals last night, I saw this Schwaben 3/8 E-torx set. Satin finish with knurling, sizes E5 to E20. Schwaben is ECS Tuning brand of tools, and it looks like Sears carries them online with the option of ship to store. $29. They are probably available from ECS as well.

Look good but never heard of them. At 25-30$ might be worth a shot

Tekton makes a set. You can get them on Amazon.

Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Only tekton I see are 1/4” and 3/8” drive
