Looking for a 1/2 Impact..

35 bucks to rebuild my IR232, or 99+tax for the dewalt. Still thinking about it.

I just saw one on ebay tonight for 80 bucks, shipped, Said it was new,no box though. It looked new, anvil didn't look like a socket had been on it.

Me, I'd take that 232 apart first before buying a kit. I've found that most of the time the stuff that causes them to lose power isn't in a rebuild kit. Worn end plates on the motor, and worn hammers and anvil where they contact it. Sometimes a kit is all they need, though.

Hmmm... Ok, i'll take it apart first and see what's up. If hard parts are worn, i'll pick up a dewalt.

For home use, mainly tire rotations, other vehicle maintenance.

Don't want to spend a ton.. but want something quality. Was thinking of scooping the new Dewalt DWMT70773L, but it's new.. and unproven. It's apparently a copy of this MAC AWP050 but the Dewalt doesnt have the Titanium housing.

Any other hidden gems out there?

ive used the pneumatic dewalt gun its nice has plenty of torque build quality is solid.

I think the HF earthquake is a great deal. got mine on sale plus coupon out the door for 70.00. 2 years of use and still going strong.

is it the new style earth quake or the old style?
