Hey Guys,
I'm looking for 3/8" Cordless impact. I already have the Snap-on 1/2" 18V and I was looking to get the Snap-on 3/8 drive 14.4V.
It has 150 ft.lb working torque and 230 ft.lb Bolt Breaking Torque. The reason I don't want to go with this 3/8 Snap-on is because It as ni-cad battery and the battery is only 14.4volts. Ni-cad batteries tend to weigh more as well.
Now the gun that I think is a good choice is Makita BTW253 18-Volt LXT.
This has 155 ft.lb Torque, I don't know what its Bolt Breaking Torque is. It has 18V Li-Ion Battery and the whole unit (incl. Battery) weighs 3.2lb The snap-on 3/8 weighs 4.6lb.
Since I live in Canada, They'll both end up costing me bout the same. The Snap-on one is like $450 from the dealer. And Makita one is ~$370 online + shipping would come to about same.
So is there any other gun that will be a good option for me?
I will mainly use the 3/8 gun to remove and tighten 10mm and 12mm bolts and Maybe 16mm but not likely. I have the cordless Snap-on 1/2" for larger bolts and I have IR 1/2" cordless on order.
Thanks.
