looking for a 6 point 3/8'' wrench

Do any of you know where I can find a couple industrial finished 6 point box end wrenches, size 3/8''. Thanks for the help. Snap on said they do not have it.

Yes, a black oxide finish or similar, not chrome of any kind. No finish at all will work too, but I have not seen any wrenches like this.

Get some old brake bleeder wrench’s. Probably have some nice rusty finish on them.

What's the reasoning behind the need for black oxide or matte is it because of possible chip flaking with chromed finish? How about bead blasting a wrench of your choice.

I think MSC is wrong about it being 6 point.

Keep in mind the pic could be a stock photo of those type of wrenches, with smaller sizes being 6 point and larger 12 point, not that uncommon.

it is just what I like and prefer. both work, I just like 6 point better

I want non chrome for 2 reasons, first is I will weld part of one up to make a torque wrench adapter, not sure if chrome will weaken the weld. Second one is for a look-a-like tool to complete a rifle cleaning kit that originally had a parkerized wrench in it . The wrench is nearly impossible to find. I want at least one for the kit, but 2 will fill both needs very good.

Removing chrome isn't too hard. Then your options open up immensely. And you can pick whatever wrench actually looks like what you are replacing the closest.

Also pretty easy to "rust blue" small parts like a wrench. Which will give you a flat black oxide layer. Very durable too. I've done it in my kitchen many times. There are other options too, like phosphating/parkerizing.

That's probably what I would do personally to meet your criteria.
