I'm looking for a stainless bolt that has a smooth head. The one I saw was smooth was a low profile pointed head. Like just enough to notice it was pointed. I am deleting a spoiler and would like to use them to plug the holes for the time being.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture. I know they came from Japan on the car I saw and my google fu is weak tonight. I attached a picture to try to get the point across but it fails.

The cone pointed setscrew. More grip on a shaft, sort of like the square headed bolts used on garage door springs and sheaves.

For sale at McMaster Carr.

I don't think those are "commercial" fasteners. Probably custom made. Maybe OEM?

Stainless carriage bolts are commonly available. Modify and polish as desired.

I think what you are looking for is just a hole plug. That style is called pointed truss. I don't know where you will find one though.

You can't use a carriage bolt in that application. The sheet metal is too thin. The nut on the backside will contact the square part of the head. To use a bolt you would need something like a 3 prong elevator bolt that has the little nubs on the underside to grip the metal without spinning as you tighten. This would cause more damage to the metal when it was time to remove. A hole plug is your best bet.

A hole plug of any martial painted to match then sealed with silicone when installed would be the best looking and very non-permanent. If you plan on going permanently spoiler-less a trunk swap or have the holes welded bond-o'ed and trunk resprayed.

If your dead set on the bolt grind the head of a carriage bolt down flat polish it up and paint match it and use some washers to offset the square in the bottom of the carriage bolt head.

I have no idea how you plan on using the set screws quoted in your post.
