Hello guys,I'm looking for oddball sized mandrel U-bends to replace the worn out headers on a LS powered race car.
Any one know of a Canadian source for U-Bends??
I'm looking for 16G. 1-3/4"dia. or 45mm with 2-5/8" rad. 1-7/8" or 48mm with 4" rad and 2-1/8"dia. or 54mm with a 4"rad.
Any help with finding this stuff would be tremendous!

There is a new NAFTA agreement!

NAFTA's a thing of the past now. The new deal is called the USMCA trade agreement...

Most of the speed shops out here carry them not sure what sizes or materials are available though.
I have bought some steel ones from:

http://www.mopacautosupply.com/

and I have seen them at:

https://www.kmscarparts.com/

Thanks K-13 but they don't carry what I need. I guess it's gonna be good ol SPD products. They have a great selection, but aren't in Canada... OH well..
Here's there link.http://www.spdexhaust.com/BendsB.html

Totally not related to finding you the U bends you need, but I've never seen headers that that had primary tubes with female slip fits and secondaries with male slip fits. What brand are they? Maybe you can get individual pieces.

Just ordered what I need from SPD.
I think the entire car was made by Katech motorsports. The pipes are male to female but have an extra slip tube on them. Essentially the secondary slides between two tubes to limit leakage.

I believe you could have gotten them from Vibrant performance.

The comment about the male/female - and to me it looks odd as well that the down wind pipe is the male. You would think it would be the female.

You've already ordered...

Mandrels bends are also available from Heartthrob, Verocious Motorsports and Columbia River Mandrel Bending. Have purchased from Heartthrob and also Verocious (off Amazon). How far is St-Colomban from the border? I've bought tons of stuff in the US and get it delivered to a mailbox across the border. Waaay cheaper and worth the effort. They let you back into Canada with up to around $200USD and no duties or taxes. SPD is not cheap. Getting things shipped into Canada is very costly. If you must, postal is best except for the customs delay.

The new USMCA (cue Village People) official allowance of up to $40 of goods with no duties or taxes is a farce.

My neighbour bought a assortment from Summit few years back. I opted to just have the local muffler shop build my exhaust.

I get what you're saying, I've just always seen slip fits going male to female in direction of flow. your pics look like its female to male in direction of flow.

Telling me the headers were from Katech and a tube broke doesn't surprise me. I guess their exhaust systems aren't much better than their race engines were back in the early 90's. I must have seen 6 or 7 of them blow up at Mid Ohio just in one weekend. The one they built for our car just before we bought it only lasted 5 easy laps...:lol_hitti
