Just something decent to have around. My sheds are 150 ft. Apart and it gets old walking back and forth. I try to keep a multimeter in each shed, house and each vehicle.
My only requirements are an audible continuity tester, some sort of standard batteries - something I probably already have or is easy to find at about any store.
And a clamp
I've searched for well over an hour and had trouble finding answers to what batteries, testers took or the continuity tone.
What is available for load testers these days?
Are they better than the oldy but goodies?
I liked the digital that was used at one of the stores - I think Rural King - when I was battery shopping. It read the Cold Cranking Amps.
I have a couple that are similar to the Shumaker, #4 on this list.
