Hello all, I am in the market for a couple of small toolboxes that will be used in a marine environment. I do NOT want plastic, so I guess that leaves stainless steel and aluminium.

Something like this:

Or perhaps a cantilever-type.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Lowes sells drawer liners that have zerus. I use them in my tool box in my garage and it seems to work. I had rust issues before because of condensation. Now it has gone away. So you can get whatever box you want just line it with the zerust liners. They also sell a small packet that is for mobile small boxes like what you are looking for

I know you said you DO NOT want plastic, but why aren't you considering Pelican cases, or some similar variant??

That may help the tools inside, but I can't see how it would prevent the box from rusting.

How about a soft sided bag or are you dead set on metal. Imo You may get annoyed with the sound of the tools tooling around with the boat rocking.
