The best one I have found so far is this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230727112788?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Anyone have any experience with it? If not I might just go to HF and get the set from them but I really like the case these are in.

Hard to tell who the mfgr. is in the pics. If they are Taiwanese, they should be ok for all but pro use, but hex and torx sockets are and area where you get what you pay for .

-----

As I stated in another post ,I have 2 sets of these for the home box:

Adequate for non daily duty and really kick-***.
Metric and std hex and torx up to T60.

Taiwanese made. Quite handy and durable. Helluva bargain.

I buy Stanley sockets from Wally Mart for and they have been stellar. They are great and I am never sad if one goes missing.

my HF set hasn't given me any problems even when removing head bolts with the 10mm, but I really want to replace them once I find a good deal on a quality set

Why wouldn't you just use them till they no longer meet your needs instead of assuming that they won't and spending money on another set?

I agree about no need to replace unless something is wrong. I also grabbed a set of metric from Wallyworld, figured the same thing, needed them at the time and they have been super, under 15$ as I recall.

Got my hex and torx sets with rails from AZ about 3 years ago, no issues. They are the black bits with chrome fittings/sockets, Great Neck ofcourse.

honestly I bought them in a pinch, and they are the only HF hand tool I own. when I open up my 3/8 metric drawer they bum me out being the only cheap tool in there. yes they work, but the finish is crappy, and the rail they came on *****. I'll only replace them when I have nothing better to spend money on, and they will go to my kids

About 70% of the fasteners I work with are hex.

I just ordered the VIM set mentioned above, have not received it yet.

My other sets are Wright Tools (3/8 dr, long and standard), Gearwrench (1/4 dr, and Kobalt (USA, long ballend). I use them all depending on the job, but Wright set is my favorite.

VIM HMS26 puts all the stubbies in one case.
I've got this set. Used it a few times, works well for the cost. No issues thus far.
At least buy sears brand, so it's easier to get the replacement.
Junk. Just like their now Chinese hex wrenches. They twist very easy. Not worth the time or the effort.
I have this exact set, and can tell you, it is tough as nails. Taiwan COO, runs under $60. It's worth every cent in my opinion.
Would have been nice to have a US made set, but for the cost and how often I use them, I'd agree they are good.

I'm going to get flamed for saying it, but I recommend the Craftsman evolve sets from Sears. At $10 a set they are a good bargain. I have a set in sae at work that I use often and they still look like they did when I bought them. I have already hung on the 3/8 with my long handled 3/8 ratchet and it took it like a champ. I just bought two sets for home.
