Like the title says I'm looking for a quality everyday use air rat. I know I should prob go electric but I just love my 1/4 snap on but t just feels like it's getting weaker. Even after a rebuild and everyday oiling.

So pros, what's the best one you have used to date. COO and brand not important.

I personally like the single body ratchets but sadly only snap on and Matco offer them
Sp air is good aswell

I went with the far25a myself loud but durable and small

I've got a couple of Blue Points that have been real good for me. I keep one at work and one in my home shop. I prefer a 4' whip line with a swivel end at the ratchet air input. Makes it easier to position the ratchet.

I think just about any 1/4" air ratchet will do because the small amounts of power and torque they put out. Not like a hammerhead air ratchet or something like that putting out high ft lbs of torque. I think the more important thing to look for is size. I just have an old school 1/4" chicago pneumatic that I rarely use, but if I ever did upgrade, I'd like something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mac-ARP525-...875386?hash=item4d42d71bba:g:m-cAAOSwV-RXE5k6

I have an older MAC AR727 made in Japan ratchet that my father gave me 10 years ago. Unfortunately, while a coworker was using it the retaining ring and plate fell off the ratchet. Guts and all are still there thankfully. Called up Mac, 40 for a tune up kit and 87 for a rebuild kit. I can buy a new aircat for ~80, which I may end up doing.

I have a tiny astro pneumatic that collects dust.great little ratchet, but Since I bought cordless ratchets I never use air anymore. But if I did go back to it and the little astro gave up, I'd look at aircat. Love my aircat impact. Quiet and powerful.

There are so many vendors today even sale fliers from parts stores with brand name well under 100. I am a CP fanboy here, I will replace before rebuild and don't care if there is parts kits 30 yrs from now.

The hot setup is the ASTRO 1124. This is an impacting air ratchet and is capable of putting out 50 ft-lb of torque without the wrist snapping common with conventional air ratchets. This baby is the bomb.
