looking for a good electronic torque wrench

looking for one in 3/8 drive, 10-100 ft lbs. Looked at one on the snap on truck, flex head, 5- 100 ft lbs, but it was 469 bucks! I also looked at the craftsman one, but none of the reviews were good. any well made, fairly priced ones available?

I think they are all the same. there's one Taiwanese company that owns the patent to the actual torque measuring electronics. various vendors package it differently and provide varying degrees of service. I've had my gearwrench branded ones for several years, but I've seen some at harbor freight which will be cheaper.

The Snappy one was the TechAngle correct? That is by far the best torque wrench I have ever used; that fact that it does angle is awesome, but you are less likely to over torque with it (vibration at value.)

If you're budget is around $150, go for HF, I have one its ok, and accurate. Or, Eastwood has some rather cheap and appear to be made by the same manufacturer as the KD ones, but a lot less.

Not all digital torque wrenches are the same. CDI Computorq3 torque wrenches are made in the US (with global components). The Taiwanese certainly do not hold a patent for digital torque wrenches.


CDI Computorq3 will run you about $260-270, but it's a quality tool. The only thing I would change is the head. I have one that's rebadged as a Cornwell, and it has 36 or so teeths. I swapped it out for the dual 80 head and now I'm a happy camper.

There are cheaper ones out there, if you don't mind Taiwanese or Chinese.

snap on makes the best electronic torque wrench. luv my 1/2" one. try to find a good used one on ebay

I don't think digital torque wrenches have an middle ground, good expensive ones, and not so good cheaper ones. Use a cheap clicker, or buy a good digital.

I have this Gearwrench one.. I haven't had any problems with it and has served me well. Do plan on upgrading to a Techangle also but at the time it fit the budget. And believe it or not it is made in the USA. If I had to do it again though I would just pony up for the snappy in the first place.

Would you like to share your personal experience again about this electronic torque wrench? Is it worth to buy at 230 bucks? I am thinking to buy this wrench. But, I am seeing very poor review on amazon. I have seen lots of review of [URL="https://theeffectiveguide.com/best-torque-wrench/"]best torque wrench[/URL] like that website. Thus, it will be helpful if you share your personal thinking about this model(Or any other electronic torque wrench that you will recommend now).
