So I looking for some help with laying out and planning my lighting in my new building. Didn't know if anyone had any suggestions on layout programs or could give some advice on maybe what they had done or wish they would have done in their own shops...?
Right now I have nothing set, I'm getting ready to have 200amp service ran and that's about as far as I have gotten. I really know nothing about where to be as far as Lumens and overall lighting coverage within an area, it's just not something I have ever done. Sure I've hung lights but never in a space of this size. So I just needed some input if anyone would like to offer it. Wiring will be fine, I can and have done that, I'm just looking to be kept out of the dark when it comes to getting the right amount of light in the space.
Background: Brand new pole barn building, 50x96x16. I know my energy co-op suggested T5 high bays or LED. This will be used as a complete shop/restoration hobby barn so I need more than the usual "barn" lit space. Structure is completely open now, but plans are to close off the ceiling and trusses with white metal soon.
So, Please, fire away any ideas you might have or experiences that may help.
